When a connected agent submits a purchase, Watchpost examines the merchant, listing, and your rules. The integration must honor the verdict before paying. Watchpost cannot intercept purchases it never receives or independently verify every submitted detail.

Is this seller legitimate?
Watchpost looks at the seller's domain, available public signals and reported purchase history. The score reflects the information available. A new or unfamiliar seller may have too little evidence for a confident decision.

Is the listing trying to manipulate the AI?
We check submitted text for hidden Unicode, injection patterns, recurring-billing language and pricing discrepancies. Claude adds analysis when enough text is supplied and no high-risk pattern has already been found. Missing text or an unavailable model limits the analysis; a low score is not proof of safety.

Does it match what you'd want?
Caps per purchase, day and month. Blocked categories, recurring-charge rules, and an ask-me-first threshold. Reviews appear in your dashboard; enable push or review email for background alerts. An amount below the ask threshold must still pass your other rules.

The merchant, product, and amount come over. We clean up the domain so we can recognize the seller, then look them up.

Merchant and listing analysis feed the rules decision. Timing varies with available data, external services and cached results.

approve, review, or block, with the reason in plain English.
- 04If review: you decide
Review it in your dashboard. With alerts enabled, Watchpost also attempts to notify you. Your integration must wait for approval before paying.
- 05Outcome closes the loop
Your integration reports whether the purchase completed. That report becomes part of your history and merchant signals; it is not independent payment confirmation.
