Terms of Service
Last updated May 2, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Watchpost when you use the website or the service. They are written so a normal person can read them. Where the law gives you rights that override anything below, those rights win. If something here is unclear, email hello@watchpost.systems and we will rewrite it.
1. Who's who
"Watchpost", "we", "us" means [YOUR_COMPANY_NAME] ([COMPANY_FORM]), registered in [COUNTRY_OF_REGISTRATION] under company number [REGISTRATION_NUMBER], with its registered address at [REGISTERED_ADDRESS]. VAT identification: [VAT_NUMBER].
"You" means the person who signs up for an account, agreeing to these terms in their own name or on behalf of an organization that authorizes them to do so.
2. The service
Watchpost evaluates purchase requests sent by AI agents you have connected to your account. For each request, we issue a verdict (approve, review, or block) based on three checks: a merchant trust score, a listing-manipulation scan, and the rules you have configured. Most verdicts take about a second.
Watchpost does not process payments. It does not see card numbers. It does not move money. It tells your agent whether to proceed.
3. Your account
You need an email and a password (or a magic-link sign-in) to use Watchpost. Keep your credentials private. You are responsible for activity under your account, including any AI agents connected to it.
If you suspect your account or a connection token has been compromised, revoke the token from your dashboard and email security@watchpost.systems. We will help you rotate.
4. Your rules, your responsibility
Watchpost ships with sensible defaults. You choose the thresholds. We will not change your rules without you. If you set caps too high, or disable the listing scan entirely, the verdicts you get will reflect that.
5. Pricing and billing
The Free tier covers 25 protected purchases per calendar month. Watchful is €4 per month, billed through Stripe. The Family plan, when available, is €9 per month for up to six members. Prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable; the invoice from Stripe breaks this out.
Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email. Existing subscribers keep their old price for the current billing period; the change takes effect on the next renewal.
Free-tier overage above 25 verdicts in a calendar month is billed at €0.20 per extra verdict, settled at the end of the month.
6. Right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)
If you sign up as a consumer (not in the course of a business) in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the right to withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of upgrading, without giving any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive).
To exercise this right, email hello@watchpost.systems with a clear statement that you wish to withdraw, before the 14-day period ends. You can use the model withdrawal form in the Annex to the Directive; we accept any clear statement. We will refund the amount you paid within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, using the same payment method you originally used.
Loss of the withdrawal right. By upgrading and beginning to use the paid features (any verdicts you submit during the period count as use), you expressly request that performance begins immediately and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has been completed in respect of the period you have paid for. For partial periods you may still be entitled to a pro-rata refund — write to us.
Cancellations made after the withdrawal period take effect at the end of the current billing period. You can cancel from the dashboard at any time.
7. What you may not do
- Use Watchpost to evaluate purchases on behalf of someone who has not agreed to it.
- Try to trick the verdict engine to launder approval for purchases that should not pass (prompt injections, fake merchants, manipulated listings).
- Resell access to the API or share connection tokens publicly. One token, one agent, one account.
- Reverse-engineer the service or attempt to extract proprietary information beyond what is needed to use the service as intended.
- Use Watchpost to break any law that applies to you, your agent, or the merchant.
- Send us malware, attempt denial-of-service against our infrastructure, or materially degrade the service for other users.
8. Service availability
We aim for high availability and try to communicate when we cannot deliver it. Watchpost is provided as a service that runs at all reasonable times, with maintenance windows announced in advance where possible.
The verdict engine is probabilistic and improves with every outcome it sees. It can be wrong. A purchase that should be blocked might get approved. A purchase that should be approved might get blocked. We do not warrant the service is fit for any particular purpose beyond what is described on the site at the time you sign up.
9. Limitation of liability
What we are not limiting. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including statutory consumer rights in the EU, EEA, and UK.
What we are limiting. Subject to the carve-outs above, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service in any rolling 12-month period is limited to the greater of: (i) the amounts you paid us in that period; or (ii) €100. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, or for loss of profits, business, goodwill, or data.
Specifically, we are not liable for purchases your agent made that you did not want, to the extent the verdict was issued in line with the rules you configured and the data available at the time. Your remedy is to adjust your rules.
10. Ending the relationship
You can delete your account from settings at any time. We wipe your data within 30 days, except for billing records we are required to keep for tax purposes.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you break Section 7 or repeatedly abuse the service. We will email you first unless suspending immediately is necessary to protect other users or the service. If we terminate without cause, we will refund any unused portion of your current billing period.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will email you and post a banner on the site at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that counts as acceptance. If you do not accept the change, cancel your account before the effective date and we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY_OF_REGISTRATION]. Disputes go to the competent courts of [COUNTRY_OF_REGISTRATION].
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, EEA, or UK, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply, regardless of the choice of law above. You may also bring claims in the courts of your country of residence.
13. Privacy
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy. The privacy policy is part of these terms.
